I was looking through a bunch of the old GM performance parts catalogs sitting around the shop the other day and found a "How to build a 2.8/3.1" book GM put out years ago. Kind of like their new How to build an ECOTEC book. It's crazy stuff!
The picture is real bad because it's from my cell phone of the cover and my cell sucks at close up shots. But that's a ITB setup! Sweet.
I guess back in the day you could order all sorts of cool stuff from GM. There are even part numbers for a 4thgen firebird shell to use as a race car. And an olds achieva. As well as the part number for a dana 44 replacement axle for thirdgens! _________________

Ian, are you working at a dealership now? If so, which one? And yes, there has been some cool stuff over the years from GMPP. _________________ Vaneat-91RS

Cool. They're good guys. I know Mark a little bit from when I was at Jet Chev. I'm up at Kirkland Pontiac now (a LOT closer to home). And holy crap, the new GMPP catalog is huge! Nearly 500 pages. _________________ Vaneat-91RS

Holy hell. Mark seriously knows at least one person, EVERYWHERE. The guy is awesome. But we just had to fire him.
And I haven't seen the new catalog yet. I could use it though, I'm trying to find the part number for some lq9 assembled heads. |
