you need jacks/stands/spring compressor for the front.

Rear is a piece of cake.

Front struts are easy, springs are a BITCH! That's why my car is going to remain stock height.

Like "coil-overs"? I think you should buy actual coil-overs if that is what you wanna do. Art Morrison over in Fife sells them for 3rdgens.

You are gonna need some LCA's if you are doing this to a thirdgen.

At least that is what I think. I am trying to sound smart and Cheezx tried to explain it to me. But untill I do something myself, or you draw a picture, I am not going to understand.

But... My buddy lowered his S10, and changed out leaf spring for a 3-link in a Sonoma in 6 hours in his driveway.

How much was the 3 link for the S10? And was it an older S10? I gotta do something the s10 squats and doesn't get any traction.

Dude, I did my ROC myself. You really don't NEED spring compressors for the front, though they will make it so you don't have to drop the A-arm as well as the sway bar and strut. For the rear, you may want to get an adjustable panhard, though I don't have one and don't notice a difference in the way my axel sits from side to side. So, that's your call, like I said, I don't NEED it, though would like to have one. LCA's aren't needed either. One thing you will probably want to do, and especially if they are old and worn out is get some new shocks/struts. You'll be "pogo-ing" pretty severely if you dont. I just put in some KYB's (did that myself too) and love 'em. Just PM me if you any help dude.

Ditto on all, but would like to add that since you will be disconnecting the spindle from the lower A-arm, might as well press in a new ball joint too! They're not awfully expensive, and maybe throw in some decent bushings... etc.!

I HATE that! While I'm putting springs in, why not put all new bushings. Well, they'll have to align it anyways, why not new tierods, how about a new centerlink, how about adj. panhard, lower lca's, lca relocation....

Man, this stuff just goes on and on! Shocked

I believe it was a 96, not positive.

He bought the kit from www.suicdedoors.com, and he paid a pretty heavy penny for them at the time.

Here is a link to there 3-links
