so im out here in milwaukee for the summer for work and i decided i need something thats reliable and confortable to drive for long periods of time and it has to have power so and i stumbled across this "sleeper" as id call it lol (btw if you are unaware these have a 3800 series II supercharged)

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?rdpage=thumb&car_id=221616516&dealer_id=802401&car_year=1998&model=REG&num_records=25&make2=&start_year=1997&keywordsfyc=__Z3M,__&keywordsrep=103115&engine=&certified=&body_code=0&fuel=&search_type=both&distance=50&market

ive already taken the liberty of ordering an slp exhaust, headers, cat, and intake kit, and a pully boyz 3.4" qwik change pulley kit (also sorry about the adress being so big and messing the page up im on my lap top and a heavy dose of hydrocodone and i cant figure this crap out...)

Those seem to actually be a lot rarer than the Pontiac GTS, and the other 3800's with the blower. Nice find. Thumbs up

no one will expect it from a buick. despite making some of GMs fastest cars they are not thought of as a performance brand. Smile

I love it, very nice. Even without the blower my 3.8 in the GP has plenty of scoot. It funny that the Monte Carlo never got the super until recently, even the SS model went without one for a bit.

You should check into the GP forum and there is a Wbody one too but not as popular, also there is http://www.regalgs.org/

Enjoy Smile

Congrats Smile

I have a 1998 Regal GS, fully loaded etc... I love it, I get away with a LOT of shizzle right infront of cops (damn biker cops, never see 'em coming).

It's got plenty of scoot for when I need to go, or feel the need, the need - for - speed heh.

Tell me how much of a difference it makes in power, and how your gas mileage is after you put it back on. Mine is my daily driver, and I dont want to lose too much MPG lol.

BTW, where did you get the performance parts at?

i am very much enjoying the supercharger oh and i got the rest of my parts today but it will be a bit befor ei can get the exhaust and headers on it but i did find this other little treat its a TPS mod the stock TPS tells the car its at 70% throttle a WOT thus robbing horsepower so i clipped that on in all of about 25 minutes (i drank a beer and smoked a ciggarette in this time as well) and wow it did make a nice difference if i stand on it going 30-50 shifting down to either 1st or 2nd will chirp the tires its pretty cool oh also i ordered an IAT extension harness suppsoedly wiht cold air intakes if you move it closer to the filter you see better gains from the CAI so we will see what happens

Same motor I have in my GTP. Very Happy

Watch the oil pan for leaking oil, and the middle rear cylinder for miss-fire. Flush the coolant around every 60k. It wont last the 100k they say it will.

I manage to pull low20's in town, high 20's, sometimes into the 30's highway.
