Well, I am planning my big build up when I get back from Basic, and I am planning on replacing two of the wheels, and I think it will need rear tires by then.

What are the best wheels for my car? I have the stock wheels on there now, but the ones on the passenger side are chewed up. To me, a good idea would be get four more just like them, get some All Weather Tires on four, then the other two could get some Nitto Drag Radials.

What size can fit? is there anything else i should know?

Tough question, as a lot of this depends on your preference and what you are going to do with the car.

For example, my LT1 was a daily and I wanted it to look good. It got heavy 18x8's that look good on the car. My V6 car is a play car and needs to go fast, so it got crosslace 16x8's. 14lbs lighter a wheel!

If I had to do it again, I would get crosslace corvette wheels at 16x10! Get some 275/45r16's and you'll never need to get bigger.

FWIW 17" C5 Wheels and 16" IROC single veins with rubber weigh exactly the same.

Well, I don't want flatter tires, just wider, can you go any bigger than 245 in the back?

10" wide is easy on the rear. But can you go 12's?

10's are easy to fit back there. Thats only a 275 rear tire. Putting 315 back there requires careful backspacing measurements and maybe rolling the fender. It has been done before though. I think CheezX has 315's. Try to get a hold of him to see what he did.

Ok, I have been doing research! I found that tires prices start to get crazy on a 18 inch rim, so I have decided to go with some 17 x 9.5 inch. I like the Black ZR1s.

If I understand right (and I think I do) the best way I can do this is to get some ZR1s, 4 two inch spacers and then get me some 275/40/17s up front, and some 285/40/17 in the back.

Since I bake my tires regularly, rotating isn't an option anyway.

go to www.tomzwheels.com for the black ZR1's... he has a reasonable price on the wheels and tires ...

I'm going to use him because I'm considering swapping off my Chrome ZR1's and just keeping them in storage and running the black ones myself

Ok, wow, how my engine build has evolved into a complete overhaul, I dont know, but its going to be fun!

So, this is my understanding. 315s can be run on ZR1s, it has been done, with no wheel well modification. The problem is, as I get more and more outrages, the less available information is. None of my searches have told me what size spacer I will need for sure.

I dont understand spacers completely, do I have to modify my studs?

I think I will probably order a few sizes, and then E-bay the ones that I don't need, hopefully I will get what I paid back out of them.

Can I go 12 inch rear tires? I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.
