Tony, I'd use the term "nittos" very loosely. It's their 450nt. A 45k mile tire. I don't think they hooked up better than the tires I had before; some cheap proxxes or something?

Sorry I didn't get to tech anybody in today. They had me working the starting line all night. BTW, Tony, is you engine fine? Because on your last run you leaked a good bit of coolant/oil on the starting line. I got the note you left in my car. It was good to see you guys come out to the track. Hope you all had fun.

Big thanks to everyone who made it out last night! I had a great time!

Even with the blowby I still managed to crank out a couple 15 second passes.

are you sure there was oil? we found the coolant "leak". some sloshed out of my catch can. found no oil leak though, seems fine today too.

14.2xxx @ 98.xxx MPH. new fastest time.

Yeah it was an oil/coolant mixture. I think that the coolant that you spilled may have mixed with a couple drops already on the line thought. Some good runs you had there.

could also have been a few drops of oil that shook loose from my engine or transmission. i know this is almost unheard of for an engine with only 142K miles, but i have a small rear main seal leak. i know i know, hard to believe, but it's true.

so changing subject, your Camaro is really nice looking. i like the wheels especially. they fit quite well, i don't think they would look nearly as good on a Firebird. i think we have talked about this before, but thats not a factory color is it? i realy like it, it's a nice blue.

Thanks for the compliments. I, however, cannot for the life of me find out what kind of wheels they are. I've seen them on a couple Camaros before. The only thing it says on the wheel itself if the size and "Off-10."

The paint is indeed not factory, it is a Midnight Blue, probably one of my favorite colors. The original color was that lighter blue.

Your GTA is very nice looking as well. Very clean and well kept from the looks of it.

I had alot of fun! Couldn't hook up for anything, but I guess that's good since when I do I break stuff.

Fueling is definitely costing me on the top end. 3rd and 4th hang out right where I'm lean. I bet there is a half second there.

Drove my dad's car for 5 runs on my slicks. That was fun! Knocked 1.5sec off his time! 14.0@97 :O) Still would have beat him in my car with 13.7@103 far cry from my old 13.0@107 lol I'll get there eventually.

Tons of fun though! Loved that it was a light crowd. Got lots of runs in.

Paul is in the process of finding new job. Hording all income until that's over. Might be moving too Very Happy

After hearing about everyone's cooling fan woes, it makes me glad I ditched mine in favor of the belt driven type.

the previous owner of my car installed a manual fan switch. Makes it much easier to keep the car at whatever temperature I desire. It'll also help me try to pass emissions this month.

Right you are. I had that happen a couple of times during the first few months of owning it. I was worried that I may have blown the piston rings but that is somewhat put to rest after I've run a 15.5 at my track.

I remember reading on TGO awhile ago that there is some sort of unit that you can buy that lets you reprogram the temperature that the fan turns on at, as well as being able to turn off the unit and running the fan through a toggle switch.
