Yeah, I always thought that rule was kind of stupid. We pretty much let it go on stock or near stock cars though. It would make more sense if it were for car that went xx.xx ET in the quarter or something along those lines.

The first few times I went to PIR I had too much rubber hose coming off my hard lines. All I got was a warning and told to fix it for next time.

allright, I can't race all night though, the GF is coming with and i can't just leave her in the stands all night or she will get upset and then i will get no 'attention' later on that night.

i'll have to re-register.

ohhh... this means i'll be able to <STRIKE>beat</STRIKE> race chris.

EDIT*
so the forum says HTML works, but HTML code like "strike" does not seem to work. lame.

Your girlfriend can hang out with Brandy and possibly Megan.

pull a plug wire tony, then it'll be even.

Race of the Chevy V7's!!

Megan's gotta work until 5:30 tonight, she was sounding kind of iffy if she even wanted to go anyway.

to tell you the truth i am kinda scared. when i first started racing the GTA it had a tourque converter, plenty of give there. then it got a centerforce, no more give. but i still had shitty tires.. now i have nittos.. no more give, just hook. i am a little scared for my trannsmission.. Shocked but if Rodney can run slicks i supose i can run nittos.

Your transmission should be fine. My friend runs nittos on his fox body mustang with a stock 5 speed and 347 stroker. He has never had any problems.

maybe.

While the Tremec (ford) T-5's, and the Borg Warner (GM) T-5's were both rated to 300ft lbs, they seem to last longer than were than the Borg Warner (GM) T-5's. Plus the Tremec's have a "straight in" mounting design, while the Borg Warner for 3rd gen's have a 18 degree offset angle. They say the Torque arm design puts extra load on the transmission which causes the input bearings to fail, and thus chuck 1st gear out the side of the case.

I know more guys who have put 400+ ft/lbs through a Stock Tremec T-5 in the foxbody and have had it take the punishment, than guys who've put 400+ ft/lbs on the Borg Warner unit and had it hold.

Tony, your tranny should be fine.I know You've raced before on the T-5 in that thing...last August/Steptember?

with cooper cobras, my point was the tires would break loose before, these nittos are sticky, but i have spun em before without blowing parts all over the ground...

Almost stock L98. (tony) vs Modded 350 (rodney).

You'll be fine tony. If you broke it, it's because something else was wrong.

PS Rod didn't launch hard on the slicks and had clutch slip.
