I was wondering how much fluid are you suppose to put in a TH350. Mine has been leaking ever since i have owned it, and I am thinking that i might have overfilled it.

Been a long time since I've owned an automatic. If memory serves, you check it when hot and idling in park. Other than that, just like checking oil except for adding only a pint at a time.

Capacity varies based on what type of cooler you have, what type of pan, how big your converter is, ect. How much do you think it's overfilled?

I'm not sure how overfilled it was. Just about the entire transmission was covered in fluid. I have a b&m pan that holds 3 extra quarts and i'm not sure how many inches the torque converter is. I've read on other forums that the size is based on the the internals. I measured the case and it was 13 inches.

Good possability if you have oil atop the case that it's coming out the vent tube.

Just check your level with the dipstick HOT in park while running.
