as long as it follows the actual comics somewhat, I'll be happy with it... though by being released along with kill bill v2, there'll be a lot of conflict and comparisson.

most people didn't care for daredevil... though anyone who followed the comics thoroughly enjoyed the movie because it followed fairly well...

I think the Punisher is going to be a movie that you can't go see if you're a person who likes to play movie critic... you'd have to be more of a fan IMO...

on a side note...

this year and the next couple should be interesting as far as comic heroes go... Hell Boy, Punisher, DareDevil 2, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Xmen 3, and some various others including a brand new, better than ever BATMAN... starring christian bale, and possibly a new Spawn movie, and its been rumoured that there will be a new Captain America movie... Not to mention the next installation of Spiderman... Lobo (very few know of it)... and weirdly enough... Pitt (dale keown), Wetworx (whilce portacio), and Savage Dragon, all from Image Comics reign

should be fun.

the kept with him turning to a vigilante, after his family was killed of course
the only real big change was they had to update his history, instead of him being a decorated nam vet, otherwise we would have been watching about a 50 year old man kicking arse.

but they kept with the basic premise of the Punisher
