Ok so Iam looking at wide band stuff again..

http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/innovate-digital-wideband-controller-with-sensor-p-41.html

How about this???

But I was wondering, do I want a stand alone, or something that ties into the ecm? 7730, is that even possible?

How much for the complete kits?

$300.???

Scott

I am not sure if there is a WB hack for the 7730. Paul is the guy to talk to, I think the LC-1 will do a NB simmulation, so it might be able to replace your stock O2 sensor. I am sure Paul will jump in with better information.

narrow band. that way your computer does not see a bunch of complicated facts, the LC-1 will tell it the happy fairy tail that the factory narrow Band o2 would have. Smile

You can't run a WB with the stock ECM's from what I understand.

You can run an external wideband where you plug it into that extra bung when you want it.... or you can run the LC-1/XD-16 Gauge from Innovate. It's the best I think. Very tunable, programable, datalogable, and neat. It's what I have. Very few wires to hook up. It's got it's own plug in connectors so installation is a snap. The gauge reads full WB (for when you're WOT or in acceleration enrichment) and then it does have a narrow band (14.7:1 swing point) to mimic a factory sensor.

Not to mention the WB sensor also has a heating element which means you get more accurate readings faster for cold start tuning and you can enter closed loop faster.

Hands down this is the winner. If you ever choose to go with a Commander 950 so you can tune REAL TIME then this gauge/sensor will work with it.

Man that’s allot of money, $400.00 bucks,
That’s what my compressor pump that I want costs or it’s what an in frame re-build on my 2-53 Detroit for my dozer.

Just its allot, Crap, As you could see I guess its not high on the list, for me.

As far as the car, I wouldn't say its running like crap right now, it hauls butt.
But you are right about the dyno, just to get numbers. I bet it could be running allot better. At around 1700 rpms its starts to come alive, I would say below 2,000 it Boggs a little, maybe hesitates.

Iam sure with someone that knows what they are doing it will run 12's in the 1/4
Just not sure when Iam going to get to hookup with you and others.

I will have to work this Saturday, and then next weekend it looks like I will be going back on a 7 day work week.Again.

Been working around 60 hrs a week, Iam getting tired. wife says Iam going to have a heart attack, YA right!!!!

Yikes that alot of work.

We can try to set aside a day or something and get you dialed in. It's really not that far of a drive.

My motor doesn't like to be under 2000 because of the cam size. I've got it smoother down there but it's just one of those things. You see guys with 10sec motor and suchs in the pits of real drap strips running 1000/12000rpm idles!
