Oh man. I forgot to tell you to grab the plastic lug nut covers and lugs. Oh well. The plastic covers are like 1.50 each at schmuck's.
Looks a lot better than piled up in my garage. _________________

thanks.
BTW a big to your garage. it looks like a junkyard threw up in there. you have another set of wheels,
a tranny, almost a full exhaust, a full grey interior...
your mom told me if i wanted to take anything else she would be greatfull. i almost took her up on it when i saw
the extra vette wheels |

My acquisition of parts never ends. Even when my car is fine and drivable I'm picking up parts for project ideas.
You can buy a set of 17" wagon wheels if you want. I've got tires on one pair.
And if you saw anything else you need, just tell me I'm sure I'd be willing to get rid of extra stuff.
The bird looks awesome, just needs to be lowered. |

NICE!!
Either lower it a bit, or just get taller tires....
either way its better than the "pizza cutters"
keep em around though.....BURNOUT TIRES!!

That's pretty sweet. The 245/50R16 are a GREAT size for F-bodys. Been really happy with mine and I think Mike likes his new ones.
Don't neccessarily need to lower it. If you do, I'd go with the Eibach pro kit. It's really not all that low. I'm lower than the Pro Kit and rarely scrape... and when I do it's really only the exhaust. Yours should be fine cause it's smaller.
I should be getting tires for the jeep next weekend. Man that's gonna be some coin. 33x12.50R15 Goodyear MT/Rs! Gotta make the swingout arm to mount the spare.
Looks good man! |

1st thing i noticed was how easy it is to get your wheels on the lugs when you can see the lugs through the wheel.
2nd thing I noticed is the visiual 1" lift I gave the car... as soon as these are done I am getting some taller tires. I don't mind the decreased handling of taller sidewall.
3rd thing I noticed is how much more visualy apealing my rear brakes are then my fronts. Now that I have 16"s I can get rolling on my LS1 brake swap.
In regards to the pizza cutters. they are as of this moment for sale. I am yanking the Cooper Cobras off and keeping them. they will go on my firebirds 15"s when it's current tires wear out (atleast another 10K miles). I still have two 14" "snowflake" wheels in my closet; if they will clear "1LE" rear brakes then I will keep them, if not I will keep my eyes open for some stock 15"s to pick up for dirt cheap to use as burnout tire wheels. stock 15"s are everywhere. I could use the dough I get from selling the pizzacutters to put toward the mod fund. though they may look like hell on a firebird these wheels look damn nice on Camaros (look at Jakes ride). they also appear fine for s10s and jimmys and stuff. |

| Lower it. You'll gain the same height from the tires as lower... plus handling will be better since you have tall sidewall tires AND better spring rates. |

I'm sure that he meant better handling in terms of ride comfort, not necessarily performance.
That looks much better. Are you going to leave them black or are you going to make a GTA out of your GTA?

I gave Mike a bunch of lug nut covers, you might ask him if you need some Tony. _________________

It's my interpretation that getting too small a side wall gives a harsher ride and maybe not as good a foot print? You can't control air pressure as nicely to give you that footprint. Plus being more prone to puncture.
Do low profile tires even rollover? If you get smaller tires you'll have more gap in the wheel well. |
