off of a 88 Formula 350 in Tumwater...they said $160 for it. Just a FYI.

Hey Craig, its a 9 bolt, not a 9 inch, it will bolt right up! And why do you wanna run drums? I think all you would need to convert to discs is a proportioning valve, right?

Tumwater...take exit 102 turn left at the light, turn right at the next light and keep driving till you see the pick a part sign on the left...beware, when it rains down there, their parking lot is flooded so park outside of the fence...the rear end is accessible though about 45 miles from tacoma

That's the easy part.

I'd pick it up also but I'll probably blow IT up too w/o stuffing a bunch of money in it. Besides, I don't think they make 4.11 for the BW 9 bolt.

They make 4.xx gears and the swaps are even easier these days since you can get a carrier swap or conversion kit for pretty decent price. 8 years ago it was so expensive that my buddy bought a Strange 12 bolt instead. Now it's pretty affordable. Smile

Can you adapt 10bolt disc brakes to it or do you have to use the PBRs?

And so I'd still be looking at $160 + gas + gears + Diff Cover + Posi (i'll shred that factory posi the firs ttime out)

Still a hefty chunk of change that could go to a 9"

the early disc brakes (pre 89) WERE put on nine bolts. my GTA left the factory with a 9bolt and discs, and it is an 88 so no PBRs. (they were not available until 89)

SOooooooo Tempting.

I have slicks in my shed waiting for another car to run them.

So far they've been on mine, my dad's '72, and schultzy's 11 second run. So I know they are good for 11's!

Dude, is your car at Bruce Titus? I just sold them parts for a 4thgen 3.8 car and thought I saw it when I ran down there?

Yep, that's me. Oil pan gasket, rear main seal, and who knows what else is messed up on it...working with the insurance company since they ordered the use of a used motor...hope it works out but things always seem to get more complicated before it gets better Sad

I know they've at least replaced the trans output shaft. Because that's what I sold them. Very Happy
