PostPosted: Wed Feb 21, 2007 12:16 pm    Post subject: kids car wrecked Reply with quote

Well I get a phone call today saying the kid was in a wreck.
That sweet vert was side swiped all the way down the right side.
The kid that did it didn't stop.

But two people ran him down and got his license plate.
Guess what, he goes to the same school.
He was at school when the Troopers pulled him out of class.
Said he knew my son and was going to give him the information at school.
That’s a bunch of BS........
I want him to get charged with hit and run........I will be pressing that issue hard.....
I think the State Patrol isn’t going to do it.

Yep he does have insurance.
No one was hurt.
Guess it looks kind of nasty.
Will see tonight.

(This is car number two, 1st one was a total)

That is a bummer, luckily no one was hurt, and at least the other insurance should cover you guys. If I were you, I would press the hit and run issue also.

OOOOH!!

That sucks scott! Luckily nobody was seriously injured.

The driver of the other vehicle should be charged with leaving the scene of an accident/hit and run.

Hopefully this one is fixable....its a shame to have to total another nice camaro, especally a Convertable.

man that SO sucks
at least the driver was found & has insurance
i too would press the issue, obviously he has no sense of responsibility
i tend to agree with you calling BS about "going to give him the info at school" at the least he should have left the info on the car.
hopefully this one is repairable
good luck

Methinks it is time to get the lad a 1973 Country Squire wagon aka urban assault vehicle Thumbs up

Let him roll that hunk 'o' steel for a few years.

Glad everyone is ok.

WOW, that is so crappy. glad everything is going to work out ok. I can't say what i would to to someone if they hit my car and ran away and then have the nerve to say they were "going to fix it" hope it works out for the best.

Lol. 1973 Country Squire Wagon
Hey isn't that on the 70's show??? I like!!!!

Thinking about fixing our selves,
Needs front right fender, gfx under door, scratches on rear quarter.
Needs door aligned, maybe new hinges. And paint
Iam thinking $2,000 at the auto body shop
What do you think?

Maybe I'll take a check and go buy a Paxton type super charger.
What do you all think is the best supercharger for a stealth ram setup???

Adjuster will be out next week.

We will see what happens.
Thanks
Scott

I think you are way low on your estimate of the damage. To just pull my front ground effects and repaint it is over $500.

I have a little crunch in the back quarter of mine. Needed bumper cover and a little body work... estimate was $1500 for that alone. I'm guessing the insurance co is going to try to total your car again.

No no no... To nice of a car for that BS man.

Take the insurance for what you can get, but don't let them total the car. Since it's a vert and an IROC it should show up as closer to four grand on their bluebook.

Insurance adjuster is coming out today, should be interesting to see what he thinks the damage is worth.

Its Enumclaw mutual.

Hummmm,
Wow hard to believe theirs that much damage to this car....
They said it isn't a total.

I have yet to get a bid by a few autobody shops.

They are still investigating the accident, and have not taken liability for the wreck yet.

But Iam sure they will.

wow...amazing.

When mine was damaged in the parking lot last summer, damage to the fender and nose, which was very minor (almost cosmetic), totaled $1000. I paid $100 deductible for uninsured motorist, which I eventually got back.

Good luck with the repair, hope all goes well.
