Took the Q-jet off today, and did some adaptation to my fuel lines for the beautiful Edlebrock 1406 that came with today's mail (Thanks BigDaddyVu!)

Had to ditch my EGR, since It wouldn't clear one of the throttle linkage arms. did a little fine tuning of the mixture, a new set of Autolite 24's, and off I went to test my handiwork.

WOW. Shocked Woke that 350 right up. I couldn't believe it. Now when I stomp on it, it doesn't bog or hesitate, it just goes like hell. She's solid all the way up to 5000rpm.

I still need to hook the choke up, but that'll be done tomorrow.

I'm very very pleased. Now, onto exhaust.

Brake pressure isn't bad actually for not having a prop valve of any sort, but the fronts do most of the stopping anyway.

Tomorrow I"ll talk to you a bit about fabbing up exhaust. I have a rough idea what I"m looking for, just want to get a second opinion.

I'm gonna leave the rear brakes alone until I get a prop valve, then I'll do new pads and resurface the rotors.

They did. they had to utilize the stock banjo bolt with the O rings though, but it's sealed up nicely.
