I'm thinking between 6-7ish ...

I'm going to be in Washington for a week starting January 31st ending February 7th, and I fully intend on going to Southern Wa/Northern Oregon for a day... more than likely Monday the 5th.

Anybody up for meeting up for dinner?
I'm sure not too many of you have gone to California Pizza Kitchen, and some probably have never heard of it... but I'm going for two reasons.

One reason, is if I decide to move up there, that's where I'll be working and want to scope it out, and talk with the GM about transferring...

Other reason is, I haven't seen you lot in over 3 years and since i'm going to be in town, I'd like to see y'all again.

So I'm shooting for a dinner between 6-7ish ... I know its a weekday and everyone works, and I don't intend to keep y'all out longer than you need to be since I'll probably be making the trip back up to Seattle that night.

So... anyone up for it?
California Pizza Kitchen ...
7315 SW Bridgeport Road
Tigard, OR 97224
Next to Regal Cinemas

has a full bar ... beer, wine and some pretty damn good mixed drinks somewhat unique to cpk...

http://cpk.com/locations/store_details.aspx?LID=190
here for directions and whatnot.

also has a link to the left showing the entire menu.

Post and let me know if you're interested Smile

That is only about 10 minutes from my work. If some other are interested, I could go after work.

Good to see you again Aaron. Was nice to hang out for a bit.

CPK is pretty good grub too. Enjoy the rest of your vacation!

Yeah, I had fun. Mike, it was nice to see TC join us too.

Hopefully we can get together again when Aaron moves back up here.

was nice seeing you guys too... and TC, glad you got to try out some things ... even after being with CPK for 3 years, I still rarely get bored with the food Wink

if anything, in 6 months (or june-ish) I'll be up there again to check things out, I should have another 40 of vacation hours, or very close to it, and should be through with my training by then, I hope. Unfortunately, financially I need to be less frivolous and pay off some debt and clear that last ticket down here, calling for a rescheduled court date and moving for a max deffered (and won't have to worry about the 6 month probation because its in an entirely different county haha)... other than that, I'm going to start saving and push for end of the year (before x-mas) or early next year (february ish) at the very latest.

after getting back to Houston, I can't stand this place now... I've missed all the green and beautiful things around the northwest, so heading up that direction halfway to the move to scout out apartments and whatnot is probably my best bet (and if I can show for cows I'll do that too)

after driving around basically that entire day, I'm going to want to shoot for either vancouver area near 205-ish or somewhere in oregon, along 205 (would hate to be closer to I5 and its probably more expensive haha) ...

but does anybody know the answer to the following?
If I were living in Washington, but working in Oregon, how does that work out on the paycheck? Do I still pay the Oregon State Tax? Or am I somehow exempt by living in Washington (yet still able to take advantage of the no sales taxes) ... or does it just make more sense to live in Oregon because I'll have to pay the taxes in Oregon anyway?

I've never been too clear on that
