|
|
On Thursday my buddy finally got around to cutting the bed off of his 1984 Toyota 4x4. So he figured he better test out. Fast forward to Saturday, we went up to Reiter Road just off of Highway 2 and had a blast.
Good 4 1/2 hours of offroading untill our buddy and his 1953 Willy's got water in his oil and we had to call it quits for the day.
In my mind I had been toying with either getting a bike or a truck once my Birdie is done. And now, I can defintly tell you that I am gonna get a truck.
L-R, 1984 Toyota (yes that orange is Chevy Red engine enamel spray paint), a 1989 Jeep Wrangler, and a 1953 Willy's with a Chevy 283.

Dewey and I decided to go try out the 4x4 in my S15 Jimmy.....
Well we were cruising right along and then the snow gave and the whole rig sank down.... and we were high centered... on HARD snow.
No food;
No Shovel;
No working Jack;
No 2x4 to stuff under tires;
No cell reception;
Had sunvisors to attempt to dig us out;
Had carb cleaner that we made a torch to try and melt snow;
Had seats that didn't recline;
Was.... towed out by a Toyota |

Wouldn't be the first Chevy rescued by a Ford. |

Dont think we'll claim the Jimmy as a chevy rodney.. Get off on a technicality since its actually a gmc. BTW dad pulled a powerstroke out with his dodge the other day.. so watch the ford vs chevy thing |
