Hey guys! I pulled the 88 IROC in to start working on it over my X-mas break and discovered the passengers floor pan was crumpled along with other body damage. The plans to restore this for my wife has gone out the window. I figured when I purchased this car it was too good to be true! So, now I'm parting this one out. It's on Craigslist and TGO. The car is complete as of right now and was loaded with options from the dealer.
Here's a link to the post on TGO: http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/interior-parts-sale/402726-88-iroc-parts-decent.html
Obviously I'll give any member of the Cascade Crew a break on the prices. Just let me know...
Red exterior/black interior, T-tops, 350 TPI (MAF) I put a BW 9-bolt 3.45 Posi along with a Hotchkiss Anti Squat kit in it shortly after I bought it. Its all for sale. The engine runs/idles but has a knock (can hear run now). Some of the RPO codes... L-98/G-92/G-80/JG1/J65
Hit me up if you need anything!

Jake,
The IROC wonder bar is located just under the front sway bar, it provides more stability when cornering. It ties the left and right side together to firm up the handling. Kind of like a strut tower brace for the underside of the car. At least that's my understanding of it.
How's $30 for the rear seats sound?
Do you need any more black plastics? You know I'll hook you up!
Later,
Tim

Actually the wonder bar may be sold, I'm negotiating with someone else on TGO right now. It takes all of ten minutes to install. Jack the car up, disconnect the sway bar from the frame mounts, slide the wonder bar in place and re-bolt the sway bar, lower car and enjoy!
It's simply sandwiched between the sway bar and the frame connecting one side to the other.
If you want it, I'll hook you up but, I need to know ASAP.

Quasi-Traction - I actually sold the 9-bolt today for $400 and the Hotchkiss Anti-Squat kit. Along with some fenders, seats, hood, doors, seatbelts... blah blah blah. Getting my money back anyway...
I'm just going to be glad to get this hunk a junk out of my garage and get my IROC in there! Seems like I've been turning wrenches for forever! My TT'II's are hating me, being stuck out in the rain and all!
Xophertony - No replies from the TGO buyer on the wonderbar. I'll give it another day or so.

sounds good to me, tim. but if someone else has dibs on the wonder bar thats understandable. could i get a picture of the rear seats, im trying to remember what those looked like. but consider them sold. as far as plastics go i think the only parts im missing are the ones that surround the door (the ones on the floor, and the ones by your shoulder might be different for t-top cars though) thanks a million.

83Z28BlackBetty - Still no response on the Wonderbar. I sold the rear seats yesterday. I still have all the black plastics. Not sure if the ones by the shoulder are the same or not from a T-top car. You're welcome to come by...

Hey, is the TPI still available? Are you including the ECM with that? _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

no problemo, i think the plastic pieces are different, no worries. although the pieces that go over the rear shoulder belts for the back seat and the door seals, are they still there? hood struts?
thanks

83Z28BlackBetty - I'll put the hood struts off to the side and the plastic pieces that you mentioned. Sorry but the TGO Guy came through on the wonderbar. Are you going to the dyno? Would you mind taking some Grid Tail lights to Twilightoptics if you go? Just come on by and get the plastics you need, the hood struts are brand new, I bought them and installed them. Bring a 20 with you and we'll work everything out.
RSFreak - Sold the TPI/ECM and Motor this morning. Sorry!
Twilightoptics - I do have a decent headliner but shipping would destroy it, asking $40.00 and pick up only.
Anyone else need anything? The Navy has me going to Vegas for two weeks this Friday... too bad for me!!

OK, got it. I'll swap those plastic pieces out for you and hold them for ya until you can make it up.

Jake,
I just looked for those plastics and apparently this car didn't come with them. The rear seat belt harness mounts to the base area of the rear seat, it wasn't across the shoulder like pictured. Sorry man.
I'll still hook you up with those hood struts though.
By the way, you know they're only $19.99 at Schucks/Autozone?
