Do you guys need any help posting up pictures of gatherings and such. The main CC site seems pretty static. We have had two more Cows gatherings, Seattle, Canada, etc. but no pics are up.

When I had brought up the idea of self-service member rides capability in a thread a while back, Tony mentioned that there were some great ideas exchanged along the same lines with admins. Any more info on this?

Thanks,

-Schultzy

14 minutes left of work, I will see how much I can write.

Mike,

I need pictures. I have some, but not all that many, if you have pictures from all of the gatherings, let me know.

As for the self service members ride section. I have played with a couple of ideas, but none with success. With the issues we have been having with the registration bots, I am a little leary of setting up some way that they could take advantage of.

Honestly, I have all the new members ride info in an e-mail box at home. If you see me online, send me a reminder to get working on some of them. Chances are it won't be until after the holiday's.

I think with the new gathering photo's, I will work out a new gallery format that we can keep, and is EASY to update. I really like the of the pages Jess created, but it is a 100% manual process, every picture I have to resize, upload, then modify the page with the correct URL for that photo. It is a bit of work.

Again, after the holiday's, I will try to sit down and work on an automated gallery for the events, so it is easy for me to update. I can just bulk upload the photo's, run a script and have it create the event page.

I get busy, and forget to do some of this stuff. All my short-cuts go straight into the forums, so I rarely see the front page. I need to do some more video work too, I know we have more video footage that needs to be on the site.

--John

EDIT: Mike -- I'll be home tonight. IM me. Wink Or come over for some beers, we can look at some stuff.

What do you guys think about setting up a Garage Type section like TGO has, Then in the members ride pages, I can just link to everyones. That is about as close to user configurible as possible.

Ask, and you shall receive. The Garage section is now online. I'll be posting some basic rules, and fine tuning it, but it is there. I hope everyone enjoy's and gets some use out of it. It has some neat features. It tracks dyno numbers, and 1/4 mile times. You can also upload a copy of the timeslip!

Nice job, Dewey! (and anybody else that contributed) Smile I've wasted the last hour putting in details. Probably have another hour to go.

I need to go home, and get the files for my dyno runs, to include on my dyno stuff.

I am actualy really liking this garage software. Next step, is to find a way to integrate that list, into the members ride page.
