trying it for the first time, not entirely sure I like it...
I know Red Hook has some holiday ales but I can't get them down here
what other holiday beers have been out up north that I probably haven't seen?
this one reminds me of pine needles :dunno: _________________

Can you get Sno Cap there ? My fav.
Soft notes of sweet toasted malt, tangy hops and fruit make up this seasonal ale's appealing nose; the body is a bloody amber in color, with a tan head that drops to a light coating after the initial rush of foam subsides. A heavy tasting and smooth beer, with strong initial impressions of malty sweet and alcohol zest, followed closely by elegant dryness. While the alcohol content of this brew is relatively high, 6.9% by volume, it is subtle in its effect on the palate. A very dry and slightly tart finish round up this heavyweight brew. Pyramid has come through with a fine winter warmer, right for any just about any cold-weather occasion.
Alaskan Winter Ale Yuk
this ale balances the sweet heady aroma of spruce tips with the clean crisp finish of noble hops. Cmon who eats trees?
Elk Head microbrew just opened in my town, they have a nice "Hop Head"
winter in the tank now with 12 other brews. Free tasting and great people, I fill my growlers there yummy
Brewtoid:
In English pubs, ale is ordered by pints and quarts. So in old England, when customers got unruly, the bartender would yell at them to mind their own pints and quarts and settle down. It's where we get the phrase mind your P's and Q's. _________________

Winterhook is offered annually during the fall and winter months. Winterhook's popularity has been a result of its eminently drinkable style, brewed for a clean, dry, roasty palate and meant to accompany hearty feasts and fine friends. This delicious, rich, hearty beer gets its distinctive flavor from the brewmaster's combination of three different malts: Carmel 80, a touch of chocolate malt and a special, custom kilned 2-row barley http://www.nwmicrobrews.com/Redhook/Winterhook4.jpg _________________ Cadillac of Bellevue
