so I decided to wake the neighborhood up, by taking out the berlinetta to my dentist.
Drove there just fine (he's about 30 blocks from my house)
on the way back I noticed the temp was creeping up....got about halfway home, and it was creeping up to 210 degrees. I stopped and let it sit for about half an hour. Started it back up and drove it the rest of the way home.
My cooling fan does not appear to be coming on at all....
I have the single fan setup....I know with the dual fans, one is a relay off the block, and the other is controled by the ECM.
I'm wondering since I dont have an ECM anymore if the single fan goes off that instead of the block switch.any idea where to start checking?
My wipers worked again...really slow. they eventually froze and a little push got em moving again. I think the linkage is hanging up somewhere...made for a rather intresting trip on the way back, since It started raining then.
I'll think I"ll need a new clutch too... it bogs a lot if its below 1500rpm. I should have just ponied up and bought a new clutch instead of using the one out of the 85. _________________

Does the block switch control the ground of the fan directly? If so, it would be easy to check continueity with a multimeter. I would assume that the block switch would control a relay tho. _________________ E30

| The switch on the passenger head controls the single fan. It grounds the relay activating it. If you only got to 210 you werent hot enough yet. Factory fan switch kicks on at 225-230. I used a marine Idiot light switch to get mine to kick on at 200. |

There are two wires I couldnt' figure out what they went to...
One big black one and two red ones....they appear to route towards the relay on the passenger front by the fan.
those are probably the switches for it...I'll check my wiring diagrams. _________________
