| Just an IROC with a SC hatch and a little bodywork where the sides of the spoiler used to be, right? |

It's a hardtop too, which adds to that look. T-top cars look wierder. I should know.
Looks like he swapped an RS hood onto it too. |

I agree. Hard tops for the win! They look so much better, in my opinion. Like a sleek racecar!
Hey quasi, if you want some backgrounds of third gens, let me know. I have tons that I have made over the past months. I can email them to you if you like
that goes for anyone, or if there is a sweet picture, email it to me, I am always looking for more.

sweet!
I know that some day when I"m older I"ll keep my eye out for a "california IROC".....I'd love to own one that clean!........I could always go the same route with the berlinetta, I just have to change the nose and add GFX.
mmmm, good. _________________

I love gfx and the spoiler lip, they look naked without them. IMO I guess thats why my car looks the way it does
To each his own! |

well.........I don't really like them, but like those slits for air vents in the nose much less........so I"d be willing to put GFX on it, to get the solid nose. Until the Aftermarket makes a good fitting nose for a Coupe/Berlinetta without the slits, I'll have to compromise somewhere.....
I like the spoilerless look a lot........put Paul has sold me on the Grids.......they do look much better on my berlinetta than the orginal taillights.
you win this time hardcore.. _________________

nah, still got the ambers for the turn signals. I didn't much care for the results I saw on Paul and John's cars....I'll leave it amber... _________________

Aww man. Dude the red tails look SWEET! They just take a little maintenance.
Get good at fiberglass and fill the slits in if you don't like them. I bet you could fill them full of JB or something lol. |

Hardtops look better, T-tops are better.

depends on who you ask... as far as the third gen goes, T-Tops are better for cruising, driving to canada with them off in 30 degree weather, etc... but they also cause more maintenance problems, cost a fuckload of money to replace, even now to find them in most pull a parts the T-Tops have gone up quite a bit, the gaskets even when cared for properly will eventually leak, not to mention the t-bar in the roof will start to rust, etc.
and for racing, you're better off with the hard top anyway...
so it all depends on who you ask and what they're doing with the car
I like both, but in the third gen, as much as I like the T-Tops, I'd definitely stay with the hard top.
and in Texas, T-Tops f***ing suck sir, absolutely, even with T-Top shades _________________

if i remember correctly, the 82-84 Z28 noses minus the ground effects would suit your needs just fine...
with out the ground effects on the nose, the nose is still complete, you won't notice it lacks them unless you're absolutely in love with the 82-84 Z28 style... but unlike the 85+, there are no gaps on the bottom nor any place to mount the ground effects on the front ...

um..............no.
The 82-84 have a removable GFX piece on the nose, as well as the 85-90. The rear bumbers have the GFX molded into the contours.
Both the 82-84 Nose and the 85-90 nose will have protruding tabs where GFX will secure onto the nose on the front in about 7 or 8 places.
There's a reason GM molded two different noses; one for Sport Coupe/Berlinetta and one for RS/Z-28's. Its becase its not as simple as removing ground effects....although I think that would have been a smart idea and would have saved them some $$
in another intresting note....all 88+ camaros reguardless of model will have ground effects. _________________

O rly....
If you care to argue that further, feel free.
The Z28 nose is available without the ground effects and have no visible (from the front) mounting points for the ground effects, unlike the 85+
You will have no problems running no ground effects with the nose and you are not required to do so.
It is removable, yes, however it attaches completely different.
Having done the work on my 83 before I got rid of it completely, I do have the experience with it, as my GFX had been torn and the bumper cover itself was fine. _________________
