I think I have a pretty good idea on how to take them off. But could someone briefly describe removing the exterior doorhandles before I try it myself and end up breaking something.

Thanks
-Eric

I don't remember all the details, but it does involve taking off the inner door panel. (duh!) Very Happy
It also involves taking off the operating rod, and there are 2 bolts that hold the handle to the door.

Make sure to either replace or at least clean the gasket. A little silicone on the rubber wouldn't hurt either.

Personally, I would spray rust preventative all over inside the door while I had the panel off too!

hth,
Paully

If you're painting the door dont go anywhere near it with silicone until afterwards. Silicone is the hardest thing to get off and absolutely no paint will stick to it.
