| Are there any intact TPI V8's out there, or is it mostly MPFI and carb stuff? |

Nope, mostly MPFI V6, 2.8s and 3.1s, a couple LG4s, and 2 3.4L (4th gens). |

| I figured, especially since I can see the MPFI intake on the blue car. Most TPI stuff is long gone by now. |

Lol! Camaro graveyard! It always saddens me to think that all of those cars used to be brand new way back in the day. They were just abused to the point of abandonment. Too much fun had by those 3rd gens. We all need to adopt more fbody's! _________________ E30

Actually, almost every car there still has its engine intact. I don't know how they aquire their cars, but I guess they just don't get the performance models. |

Just look at Chevy's production statistics. They made way more V6 Camaro's since they sold better to women and people looking to save on gas. Thus way more of those cars end up in the junkyard. The TPI ones were generally better cared for, albiet beaten more. |

Just think though, If every one of them were still on the road, our cars would be like freakin honda civics! Every one of those in there makes us one step closer to our cars going up in value!
Don't get me wrong, I'm sad that they are all destroyed, but there is a silver lining on that dark cloud.

I seem to remember someone posting up on TGO about recording VIN's of cars they see in the junkard and trying to get others in on it....
its just rediculous...you'd have to go back to when the first 3rd gens rolled off the assembly line in late 1981 and have to have everyone recording it....even if you started 5 years ago, you can't be all over the world to record all that are left.....
its like the amount of money you've put into maintainence/modification to your car.....its just not worth it to calculate it all up... _________________

Its sad that so many of these cars are wrecked, but if they weren't, I wouldn't be able to get cheap parts!!! |
