i recently moved a bunch of the underhood wires from the stock location along the frame rail, next to hot exhaust and stuff,
to a more logical location along the tops of the fenders. i had to lengthen a few of the connector harness wires, but it was
well worth the effort i think. i also finally drilled a hole and hooked up the incoming air tempature probe. that sensor
has been in a less then ideal location since 2003. Rolling Eyes

this first one shows the intake and the wires relocated to the passanger side fender. as well as the now clear frame rail.

this next one shows the driver side wire harness relocation. i still need to find a way to secure the wires to the fender,
they kind of fly around a bit. it needs to be more tucked to the fender lip. it also shows the new coolant reservoir in it's
more out of the way location. i have future plans to further hide this as well. once i figure out a nice permanent
location for it i will do the same thing to the GTA.

one showing the clean driver side framerail.

and finally the whole shebangabang.

Boy that cleaned it up quite a bit. What are you going to do with this car? Keep it for a driver?

That does look nice. I approve. I've never been happy with the driver side rail, it always looks dirty, but yours looks nice with the wire relocation.

thanks.

yeah, it's a daily driver. emphesis on gas mialage, atleast for now. i am also trying to de-clutter the engine bay as much as possable. it is also sort of a test bed for engine bay mods to the GTA. my eventual appearence goal with this car is to make it look like a formula. (power bulge hood and wrap around spoiler)

while at the junkyard the other day i picked up a new one of those pieces that the hood latches too. the bit that i cut up to install the washer bottle above. i plan to redo that much more hidden, with both coolant and washer fluid hiding down there. if it works out and looks reasonable nice i will do the same thing to the GTA. but i want to test it on the six first, and aslo on a spare metal deal so i dont screw anything up too badly.

How did you relocate your coolant reservoir and washer fluid? Are they 4th gen?

the waser fluid one is forth gen. it looks better on camaros. the coolant reservoir is a 7.99 NAPA deal. it is just zip tied in place. there is a post on TGO about the washer fluid reservoir... i'll see if i can find it. ................found it. re-read most of it. interesting.

wow thanks! that is quite the compliment. it certanly looks good in the photos and passes the 5 foot test, but up close is another story.

i did it about a year ago now. if you are up close you can see the grinder marks, and i never painted it so it is begining to rust. i never ment it to be permanent, i was always going to re do it with less material being ground away for a cleaner look, but now feel that i can do a much better job just starting over again.
