so on my way home on tuesday night from Johns I was traveling down Jennifer rd. and got in to the gravel a little around a turn and lost my rear end spinning me 180 and in to the curb breaking off my left rear tire right at the axle housing. I damaged the control arm both left side rims the plastic nose and left fender the left caliper mounting flang and break caliper and roter and pads.... so the race with John is post poned.

Enough is enough.

Bart, I'll pull the rear out of the ROC (if the spousal unit lets me) and loan it to you (I'll install for free) just to put an end to the bitch-fest.

For that matter if Rodney makes it up here in time I'll loan you my 3.73 posi (again, installed for free, I don't need permission on this one).

I'm just tired of listening to you two bitch like little girls over who has bigger bewbies......( .) ( .) .....

OUCH!!! I cringe just thinking about the damage and *SMACK* on the curb.

My buddy has the complete 9-bolt with disc brakes and posi from his '89 IROC. The car only had about 52K miles on it. Changed the rear for a Strange 12-bolt. Let me know if you're interested.

I think that you should just let Rodney barrow the 3.73's.

Then he can also barrow a carb, come to Portland and whip all of your pansy asses. Laughing

OK.

Here's the catch, you have to have your headers on and leave the rear (mine, not some 2.73 cluncker you have laying around) here when you depart. The carb you can use for awhile longer.

Shouldn't take us more than 90 min or so to swap rears if we get energetic.

What happens if your 3.73's break? Cause I was thinking about finding a set of slicks if I was to barrow it. Razz

the problem has been trying to find an axle that wil fit 28 splines so we decided to put in and open carrier with 26 spline axles so the posi unit is up for sale.

i need to replace a the left wheel and tire as well and the left control arm and the levr caliper and caliper mounting hard ware and the left rear break hose again.

so the break parts are expensive does any one have them cheep?

i'll take it.

what would it take to get the wheel up here. shipping is probably a descent amount, when do you plan to be up this way next? we might also want to check out the shipping costs anyway.

Well.. I would guess it would cost around $20 to ship it. I might be able to have it find its way up north.. give me a day and I'll let you know. Smile

joe, do you happen to have 2 wheels, since he damaged 2 of them, 1 of them is ruined, the other is marginal, but should probably be replaced.

No, I have just one.. but, I could check the local yards for another. I know of two Firebird's off the top of my head at one yard. Shrug

How bad is the "marginal" wheel?
