I don't think we have many people in on the east side of the mountains, we have a lot people up and down the I-5 corridor. and some in central WA.

What part of Central Oregon are in ? I saw your post on TGO, why don't you introduce yourself, and tell us your name, etc.

Welcome to the Crew. I think the closest active member we have to you is in Klamath Falls. If you are in Bend I guess that is actually about halfway between K Falls and Portland.

Anyway, like Dewey said, post up about yourself, your ride, plans for the car, etc. Pics of the car are always good.

There it is...86 Sport Coupe,305 and auto with a b&m shifter installed. I wasn't really looking for a camaro but drove past this a few times on the way home and finally stopped, got the owner to start it,,offered something less then the asking price and drove it home. I was drawn to the blue color a bit. T tops fit like a top and dont leak a bit.interior is in good shape with the exception of the headliner in a few places. Tires are decent too. The eng is a 305 with 40K swapped from a Monte Carlo. I just bought a new Edelbrock performer intake and got injured on the job,so that will have to wait. I am kinda seeking a Edelbrock carb ......
No hurry on it,just wanted another camaro to replace the 69 I had to sell 15 years ago.

back when I had just bought my 69 I dropped in a 350 in fromt of the factory PG,,that was a helluva tranny for its time. Well,,,I didn't have my camaro 2 weeks when my dad goes out and buys a 85 IROC just to one-up me.
Damn that IROC was fun,he actually asked me if there was any upgrades available so I casually metioned a hyperchip,,,,he said how much and where ?
Well,,i forget the name of the place but I drove up to portalnd,,near Carr Chevrolet, and bought that chip and drove home.
Dad asked after we got it installed if I would program it for him since he read that it needed to be driven pretty hard,,,oh yeah. I took it out that time and many more after that.
My 69 sure had me happy but Dad's IROC sure spoiled me,,this 3rd gen camaro isnt anything special, but it's nice to be a camaro owner again.

What type of 350 went into the 69? The fastest IROC in '85 was the 305 TPI, and it was only around 210hp.

I pulled a 4 bolt 350 from a Chevelle,,had a performer on top with a Holley DP,Pete Jacksom Gear drive,,found a old classic 2 pc gear cover somewhere that went on it,,,Hooker headers,Accel Coil and DP dist.3" exhaust run nice thru some decent mufflers,,,this was all about 16 years ago and CRS has crept in somewhat. Can't find a pic of either car Crying or Very sad Ya,,dads had a 305 but as stock mid 80 cars go I was impressed.
I was into Nova's prior to the 69,,had 5 early 70' Nova's in a row. can't find pics of them either now....one was a 69 SS. My first car was a 65 SS Impala with a built 396 backed by a muncie. Red,damn that was fun then but feeding it now would need the GNP of Bolivia or something.
