I play softball on Thusday nights on my company sponsored team (we're almost through the season), and after tonights game, we went to Canyon's in Bothell for drinks and dinner. It so happens I was backed in next to a Dodge Ram 1 ton 4X4 extended cab pickup who was also backed in. When he decided to leave, he pulled out and, I think, forgot how long he was, and turned into me. No real bad damage, but looks to me I'll need a new fender and possibly the upper bumper cover. May even need a new wheel due to a broken center cap, don't know if you can get those without the wheel.

We exchanged insurance information there. Tomorrow it's to the body shop again for estimate. I may be in a rent-a-car for the show next weekend (I'll have to check with both insurance companies). Here's pics I took tonight after I got home.

good thing you got his info. some ***hole hit me in my appartment complex and did not leave a note. 649$ worth of damage to the rear passanger quarter pannal on my six. it sounds bad but you can barely tell. there was a dent there allready anyway, but it is worse now... Evil or Very Mad

man, good thing he was an honest dude.... that way your car will be back to its shiny goodness soon. provided his insurance company does not total it out Rolling Eyes

It's not like he had a choice, he had lots of witnesses from the outside dining area (myself included).

I had a similar thing happen to my 2001, but it was a hit and run in the middle of the night.

Still have yet to get it fixed.

Estimate is about $1500. The body man at the shop I use feels he can repair the fender rather that replace it. It's a good shop and I trust his judgement. Either way, should be no money out of my pocket. He's going to start Wednesday and hopes to have it done by Friday afternoon.

Looks like now, I have to use my own isurance and put out $250 for deductible, which I'll be re-imbursed. Effectively no money out-of-pocket.

Shouldn't - not at fault, and my insurance (State Farm) will recoup the repair cost from the other insurance company. The other driver gave me the wrong insurance infoo, then contacted State Farm to correct the mistake, last I heard is they are playing "phone tag" to try to update the info. Only bad thing is - I don't carry rental coverage, so I'll either eat that or find something else to drive for a couple days.

Time to pimp that old f*rd truck! Laughing

Sucks that the guy tagged your car. That crunch/grinding is a sickening sound.

Not this time, I think he got rid of that. Will be a Jeep Wrangler this time.
