The proble is that if they have a third brake light gap on top, it might look even worse than it normally would. |

Be careful with those, you might scrape your pimpin' exhaust system on the ground and accidentally take out your tranny along with it. |

Back in the day when air shocks and lifted back ends were actually cool.... a friend of mine jacked up his 71 malibu with them and stuck some wide 50s out back. During a race at lunch he had one of the lines blow out..or maybe it was the shock.. but anyway the air went out and the fender lip cut the tire. Car spun 180 and hit a ford truck ass to nose. Malibu traveling 80+ , ford 60...It peeled the malibu off the frame all the way to the back seat. The people in the ford ended up in the hospital for 2 weeks. My friend in the malibu was fine. When he built his next malibu he used 2" coil lifts instead of air shocks. I later bought that car, its the blue one I wrecked.
Also I havent really looked at where the shock mounts are, but without a frame under these cars its bolted to sheetmetal. The shock mounts arent designed to hold weight like they'll have to with air shocks. |
