only when he gets a more powerful cart.
Seriously I had that more powerful one the first run and I was lapping people....or maybe that was just my awesome driving and handling skills.. _________________

Actually I had more trouble with the strong cart then I did the first one. First one I could just floor it and go. The 2nd one wanted to spin in the corners. |

At Champs, all the carts are pretty even and all have a slight bit of oversteer (easy to spin in the turns), and the course is somewhat challenging. Every time I've been, I missed qualifying for the turbo-speed race by less than a second. Races should be driver ability, which means John probobly can put me in the wall since he has the weight advantage by about 60 pounds. |

Carts are remotely top speed governed for each race - everybody has the same top speed capability in each race. There are 3 speed settings
Junior - self explanitory, for kids and still fast enough to spin out in the turns, I found out racing with my nephew
Standard (for lack of a better term) - for adults and kids who qualify. Kids qualify this the same way adults do for turbo.
Turbo - faster yet, qualify by running a standard lap speed under a certain time without hitting anything - just about impossible if you hit something.
If I got my information right, they are capable of about 35mph (my guess on turbo). |

2.5 hours? No really sure. Paul did it, might want to ask him. Al and I are on the opposite side of the sound than Fish and the show though. _________________

Ya I am just trying to figure out how long it would take if we did come in Friday night and hang out with you. I thought it was at least an hour further than that. If we get in there so late that no one is alive not much fun. If it was only 2.5 hours that isn't bad at all.

I can't really leave until probably 7pm Mike. If we leave saturday, we are probably going ot need to head out early, so we can get up there and still have a good amount of day left. |

You guys are welcome here also, I'm working on Friday and get home at about 6:00 pm. and normally stay up well past midnight on Fridays. We could catch a fairly early Saturday ferry up north and avoid Seattle traffic (almost always bad), I have reduced price coupons for car/driver, any passengers are free eastbound. I do that commute every day in about 2 hours, which includes time waiting for, loading, riding, offloading the ferry. Actual driving time is about 45 minutes. _________________ 92 Camaro

Mike/John.. You guys can always come here... bbq... sleep... and head out early AM saturday. Saves ya 45min that way anyway.
Um... I think Ian was around 2-2.5hours. 2 hours to tacoma and like 20-30min to his place. |

I'm about 45 minutes from Tacoma, actually. For reference, I'm 15 minutes north of Seattle. The show is ~8-10 minutes north of me. |

Sounds about right. Those times are without significant traffic, which shouldn't be too much of a problem on Saturday. It would be aout a 90 mile trip (one way) for me without crossing the water.

So there may be a slight problem. Scheduling conflicts at work are having me come in both saturday and sunday. I'm making some calls to other stores to see if I can get coverage but there are not guarantees.
Crap.
I don't have any problems hosting people any of the nights though. Just means you have to deal with my bitter ass. Nah. Just bring back lots of pictures. _________________
