22 NHRA Late Night Drags
28,29 NHRA Late Night Drags
PIR^

If the weather changes off rain friday to nice saturday like the weatherman calls for I'm down with going to the Track on Saturday the 22nd. Time to see how I launch the car with a stick.

I'm off friday and saturday and a cruise would be bad ass.

I suggest driving down to Carson on Hwy 14 or I84 and the cruising up to McClelland View Point. Would be awesome picture taking, the road is freshly paved, great scenery, nice and twisty, and it's not the same ol gorge drive most of us have done a million times.

And I can do this because I HAVE OVERDRIVE NOW! WOOT

This was the 11th of February. The Road was cleared all the way to the view point, behind the jeep, which should be melted by now. Was only a foot.

If we did something the day of the 29th, I would be up for it. This saturday is out, and during the work week is out (unless we go out for beers in the evening.)

I'd be up for a mini-gathering/dinner type deal but I have one week left before Vegas Baby!

Yes sir.

I need to organize a weekend, to get everything ripped out of the 5K, so I can get the Audi running again.

next satarday sounds like it would be the best. in fact, i am making it official. satarday the 29th, OFFICIAL CC track day. one night only! BE THERE! if you can make it chime in.

we can all meat for dinner beforehand, and then late night coffee/beer after, for the debriefing (read: tony braging for 45 minutes about his 16.5 Rolling Eyes ). dinner i am thinking burgers, like red robin or fudruckers or somthing. or perhaps pizza. lets here some segustions.

also, just for a refresher, those of us slower then 13 flat, (should be most of us) only need a functioning battery tie down (stock) a seat belt, and functional front/rear brakes to drag right?

If you're in the 13s you need a helmet. They'll ask you what you think it runs, say 15 flat.

Lets hope for weather then.

I'll try to be there (moral support only Smile ). Still have a few minor issues to iron out. Small oil leak, valve cover gaskets I think, and still have a transmission crossmember bolt to replace. And still chasing the EGR error code (vacuum leak I think, or MAP sensor?)

Anyhow, If I go, I need directions or address to mapquest Razz

you can race with an oil leak. i am going to. Very Happy .

for address go http://www.portlandraceway.com/location.asp <--HERE.
that is PIRs website. and then mapquest or google-map or yahoo-directions it. Smile

Gates open at 4 p.m., Practice at 5 p.m., Racing at 7 p.m. at least if they are all the same... they only list a schedule for wednesday night racing.

spectators = $8/Adults, $5/Children
All Racers = $22

and remeber, anyone faster than 10 @ 150 needs a parachute. Very Happy
