Well I posted on TC to see if there was a fault to my reasoning. Harold promptly answered. It all depended on if one of my measurements was taken BTDC or ATDC. One way would make it 212* and a 256, the other way would make it the proper 218*. Guess what, its 218*.. so the cam is after all right. But it is indeed 3* advanced as well. I really dont think 3* can add up to the missing 50hp.. So i've asked for a cam recommendation. Not sure if he'll tell me to go any bigger though since the truck does see some tow duty, and has 3.08 gears. |

Put the 262 into desktop dyno and advance it 3+º and see what happens.
Maybe not think of it in terms of horsepower but in terms of the peak. Move the peak out, the higher rpm has more air/fuel to make that power. |

NM about the desktop dyno thing, it didn't do it justice at all. |
