Psh.... Dimmu Borgir is over rated.

Did anyone see them when they came with Bodom, Hypocrisy and Nevermore?

..Did anyone go to Hypocrisy last night?

Dimmu Borgir is the only one that can really pull that style of music off and sound good, the majority of others just don't seem to have the entire "Sounds Complete" thing going for them

plus i think they can do a live performance rather well ... not the greatest, but better than a lot of other groups.

besides what do you expect, they're norwegian :o

Borknagar is far better... But Dimmu is really good at that like... FULL, symphonic thing. They are fun nontheless.

And whatever man.. I am half Norweigan Very Happy

Most of the bands i listen to are from Europe.

Why? I've been listening to their DVD, live in SF, and they totally kick ass!! They cover "Ramble On" by Led Zep and they NAIL it!!

Their music "works" together too, so it just kind of fits in to what I was talking about before.

I must amend my earlier post also, I really like listening to (most of) APC and Tool as well. Another to consider, although I don't know if ALL their music is as good, but School of Fish "3 Strange Days" is awesome!

Also in my "My Music" directory:
Van Morrison
Norah Jones
Sublime
Boney M
Karla Bonoff (arguably one of the best singer/songwriters of our time)

, but that's not all of it!! Just a sample!

Later!

I like alot of stuff but mostly just listen to country. Me being a redneck and all the music just speaks to me. But after reading how you guys hate country music I am thinking a 6 am wakeup call at the Cows this year. The only thing better than some country music first thing in the morning, is a couple of Orion's bumping some of Nashville's finest out first thing in the morning. Cool Very Happy

If you are up at 6 AM at Cows III (unless you didn't get to bed yet) then we have not done our job.

I know we got a bunch of Faustus CDs left over. Not sure if I even have a Reverend CD. We are pressing more Gravl Tung CDs right now. BTW, the Reverend disc is called, "A Gathering of Demons", kind of fitting, aye?! Cool
