I have a complete 2 1/4" exhaust for sale. The y-pipe is for exhaust manifolds and it was bolted up to my 229 v6 that i had in my camaro. The y-pipe and high- flow cat have only 500 miles on them. Everything from the cat back were put on at the same time and have around 2,000 miles on them. The muffler is a flowmaster single in dual out. I am asking $300 obo. I have over $600 invested in the entire exhaust.
Thanks, Tim _________________ 85 Z28, 383 Stroker, TH350 tranny, Richmond 4.10 gears, dual exhaust

229 V6? is it a 3.8L?
Its displacement should be 231ci. _________________

| Chevy made a 229cid 3.8l v/6 as well as the 231 buick. Some cars like the early 80s malibu's could have been bought with either one. The 229 is 3/4s of a 305, just like a 4.3 is 3/4s of a 350. |

facinating........
I knew both Chevy and Buick made 3.8L's but they actually had different displacement sizes? Weird.
So...the 3.8L that is in 78-81 Camaro's is really a 229ci 90 degree V6?
Also was the 3.8L that was in the Turbo T/A's a Buick or Chevy V6? _________________

The 3.8 chevy didnt last very many years. Think even gm realized the buick was better. When you said turbo TA, my first thought was the early 301s.. thinking to myself.. thats not 3.8liter? |

buick 3.8 90* v6 with modified front wheel drive heads, crossdrilled crank, stainless steele headers (not manifolds) ,they also ran a bigger intercooler and 16.5 PSI. a TH200R4 tranny instead of a TH700R4. 250HP 340LB/FT (factory BS ratings) PAS rated it at 301HP/360tq. they ran a 13.5 1/4 mile BONE STOCK they only weighed 3,3xx LBS.. a little over 300Lbs lighter then a 350 GTA.
a hard top/leather interior TTA is my ultimate dream car. there were only 24 made.... i supose i would take one of the cloth ones too.. only 15 of those. most were t-top.
