Certainly did.
I just can't figure out how to get the shifter into reverse . Is there a trick like pushing down on it or something?

I was just going to say it has a lock-out noid. IIRC cheezy didn't hook it up, and just uses a good bit of force to shift into reverse. |

I just tapped into the brake light switch. Easy enough.

"A bit of force" AKA - using both hands and leaning on it. I would suggest wiring it in if at all possible.
