I got hit with a rock on my way to work this morning, I have a good size crack starting now. It started at about 1" when I got hit, it is now at about 10", I'm sure it will grow even more.

Just venting. Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Mine is chipped and pitted really bad. I looked into this a while back and replacement seems to run about $180. There may be cheaper places but the two I talked to were right at that price point. These are the folks that come out to wherever you are and put in a new windshield.

Sorry bud... It's almost Friday! Very Happy

OUCH!!! My freaking brain hurts now. No no no...

Sucks about the windshield John, but $180 isn't bad for a new one.

No insurance? My comprehensive covers glass breakage with $50 deductable, even covered bodywork on Mom's car when she hit a deer - $50 covered about $1500 in damage.

Shitty shitty. When I bought my bird the windshield was cracked. Although I had the spare one from my 87 that I pulled before I junked the chassis. So I have an original 87 windshield in my 91.

It's pretty pitted and not very nice looking.

That's some pretty rapid growth, 9 inches in a couple hours!

If it were still at the 1" mark I could repair it for you, but now it's too far gone!

If you have full coverage, or collision, then the insurance company will pay to replace your windshield, since it becomes a driving hazard with the crack (atleast if it's in your line of sight).

Take it as an opportunity to get one of those winshields with the tints in between the panes of glasses Wink lol.

Why do you want your windshield tinted, and isn't it illegal? I can't imagine looking out my side windows(tinted comparison) to see on a daily basis especially in the dark.
