What's everyone trying to get done at the last minute for next weekend?
Not much here, repainting my rear bumper. Figured it's the least I could do for all of you that are forced to watch it pull away from your cars.
Let the smack talking begin.
I predict that I will make exactly 309 RWHP. |

Are you bringing the camaro?
Last night Paul and I put a new pressure regulator spring in, so I could up my fuel pressure. Now I can go past 4k without going static!
We got some tuning done also. I'm getting new tires on Friday. Other than that, I don't think I have anything to rush this week. As of today, she is running pretty good. (I am knocking on everything I can find, that is made of wood). |

So we can assume that Rod took care of his differential carnage. Good news for Lama boy as well.
I am just going to clean mine up a bit. We all know mine is all show and no go anyway. I had a no start condition that ended up being VATS related. The upside is that I now know more about my cars ignition system than I ever wanted to. Drove her yesterday and seems to be running pretty nice.
Other than that just trying to get the house straightened up a bit for guests. Sounds like most folks are spending most of what they have to get here and dyno so I was thinking we could just grab some beverages and munchies and hang out here Saturday night. I am up for anything though so post up some ideas if you have them.
John is working with Bart on the meeting location for Friday night. Once we have that I imagine he will sticky a post with locations, times, etc. If the number of people dynoing stays where it is now we will probably be done relatively (compared to previous years) early at the dyno. Perhaps the locals should figure out a decent cruise route. I know several years ago someone (Lance I think) threw out an idea to do a covered bridge tour. The only problem I see with an extended cruise is that gas is expensive. The gorge is always pretty but we have done that route to death.
Is everyone that is coming in from out of town covered as far as a place to stay? Any Mr. Popo sightings?
Looking forward to it!

Unless the weather is horrible next weekend I will bring my car up. It always sucks to chase you guys around in my pickup. Mike, I had the open carrier that Brandon gave me in the car a couple weeks after Cows. She goes like hell, just doesn't launch very well anymore. I can prolly spin one tire father than anyone else in the crew.

I just got rid of my Jimmy and it's headache in favor of a 2004 Wrangler, so I'll be dynoing the car.
Been hunting down a lean condition. Replaced the Intake gasket, worked on my wires there a bit (nesticle!), cleaned up the intake, and think I found the problem being the Cap/Rotor. The rotor doesn't even touch the center pin of the cap LOL.
Other than that, I'll be cleanin her up too! |

for my last minute stuff I am going to have the car re-aligned at a shop... lol, I've already replaced fuel pump gaskets (I forgot to put them in with the new motor actually, which caused a nice big oil leak LOL), removed the air pump that was not working anyways, and rebuilt the carb, I'm just trying to MAKE it to dyno LOL. I bet I'll be competing with the V6 crowd in numbers |

Right by the fuel pressure regulator, pass side, rear of rail.

There is too much to be done to my car. It's going to look like a bucket, so just get used to it.
I need to finish the headlights. I ran out of gas so I need to get more before I can make a few more supports and start on the passanger side and then glass some covers. Passanger seat needs to be mounted. Headers need to be put on. Aluminum d-shaft needs to be put in and trans mount needs to be trimmed. And I seem to be getting a shudder now when I accelerate from a stop. My driveside wheel bearing is getting a little more play than I'd like. Although I'd rather do a brake swap if I'm going to do bearings. I have hubs and brackets, just no calipers or rotors.
Will any of that get done? No. I work everyday this week 9am to close so I don't feel like doing crap afterwards. |

ian if you want to bring down the headers and driveshaft to dyno day, I can help you out after I get out of work at 8 at my place getting them installed. I have an engine stand, a garage (can park halfway in it atleast hah).
Or I can bring my cherry picker and tools to where-ever you're gunna stay and we can have a dyno-modfest
We can do it the day before dyno as well if you're coming up on Friday, then you can have some numbers |

I have friday off and was planing to get the d-shaft in then. The headers aren't really the problem; more what to do about the rest of the exhaust. I can't drive open header. It wouldn't take much to connect the LTs to the rest of the piping because of the notched x-member but my skill in welding pipe sucks. |

| WOOT! FIXED THE CAR! Must have been that cap and rotor. Could have been the intake gasket too.... either way it was an issue in the running, because now, it's semi gone the other way. It's not twitchy at idle or cruise, but needs some tuning.... which tells me I tuned around a problem that I didn't even know was there. SWEET! |

| Just out of curiosity, is it possible to burn chips between dyno runs? Or do you have to be at a computer in order to do that? lol (I've only almost watched Dewey burn a chip, I'm clueless lol.) |

If you have everything setup in car.... or you're Schultzy, he'll let you burn between runs.
If you have to get out and dick around for 10min each time, I wouldn't ask him. |
