Good post by Grumpyvette on Chevytalk. For the excess power levels we want our small blocks to produce.... why not just build a BB for less money, and have more potential in the future?

yadda yadda yadda

You have to have a car that you can put the big block into. Sure you can do it with a thirdgen but there is a reason that it isn't prevalent. It is a learning experience and I certainly would like to have a big block car to play with in the future.

And then there is the fact that if I were to build up a big block I would probably start upgrading parts like I did on the small block and spend EVEN MORE. hehe

btw, welcome to the crew NathanJ Wiggly wiggly If you haven't already done so (I am old and forget!) post up about yourself and your car.

I've seen a couple of 455 pontiac v8's in 3rd gen firebirds there a tight fit alil bigger than the sbc and a lil smaller than the bbc and you can get alot of expensive power out of them. i had a 79 t/a with the 455 pontiac v8 in it. with one non fowler in cylinder 4 i was able to do 15's in a qtr.
