My gain switch and the factory amp.. wherever its located do nothing now. Do you still have the little factory subs in the sides too? Mine had allready been blown and replaced when i got the car in 91. The boxes are hacked and rattle. So they too are disconnected. Much easier for me to adjust with the built in fader controls of the deck then to mess with any of that factory stuff. Do kinda wish I'd kept the factory deck though, one of those things that gets tossed and eventually may be worth something someday.

no, all aftermarket. all the factory stuff is gone. the amp is probably still somwhere Confused

i am making the factory "gain" switch on the dash work with an aftermarket amp/sub combo (45X2 kenwood, crossover style. with a $10 10" sub glued into a one gallon bucket.)

i just tested it in my 86 (where the sub/amp is currently located) and it works. i just got called in to work, i'll see about posting some pics when i get back.
