Alrighty, for those that are interested in a crew calendar for 06, I'll have to double check my photo archives but I know I don't have enough crew pictures for an entire year. So if we are going to have a calendar I'll need those with crew pictures to contribute. The plan is the same as the years before, with a good selection of group shots from gatherings and we'll put some solo car shots in if we need to fill in. We'll need at least one good Firebird burnout picture since we have a pre selected Camaro burnout picture already.
Thanks guys. _________________ '88 Formula

For you V6 guys a burnout is only a mythical legend that doesn't really exist. |

Not quite true Hammer man. I have video evidence of a v6 minivan doing a burnout
Where the heck is Kelly anyway... MIA.

Normally I am good for supply of pictures but I couldn't find my digital camera and did not have it for the two major gatherings this year. Oddly enough my daughters pulled it out of the box for the board game 'Life' yesterday a full two weeks after I finally bought another
I have lots of pics from past years... several diff group shots from mini-gatherings, etc.
Let me know if you want to dip into the 'archives'

Hehe.. at one time I had both a 68SS396 and a 71 malibu(actually 72) at the same time. Well after wrecking the 71, I took the good parts off of it, like the disc brakes, sway bars, and wheels/tires. Then fixed the body damage and primered it. Too bad original cowl hood wouldnt swap too! I then managed to sell the car for $2500(I only paid $2200!!!) After just completing the parts swap and knowing that the new owner was coming over later that afternoon, I took the car for a little "test" drive. Stopped at the end of the road and just hammered her down. Tires were just a smoking.. I looked down at the speedo and the needle is bouncing a bit but still pegged at the 120mph mark. All of a sudden the needle drops to 60mph and i'm off! Some reason the tires decided to hook.
Also learned from that sale.. never take payments! Took me 2 years but I finally got my last $500 out of the guy. Was talkin with his girlfriends brother.. while he was in the backroom with the guys sister... the brother says "he still owes you money?? " Yup.. goes in the other room a second to talk to the guy.. comes back with the $$ in his hand! Guess I just never interrupted at the right time. |
