1986 Camaro Berlinetta.
This car was going to become a 91-92 clone, but I seriously dont have the time, patience or money to continue to pour into it for a long while till it all comes together (I'm sure if I dropped it off at Brandon's for a weekend it'd be finished LOL). The dash has been pulled out (still have it) in favor of a 4th gen dash, which I never had the time to tinker with the wiring, which in turn caused a couple mystery wiring problems (take the ground from under the steering column off and the turn signals work, put it back on and they dont).
The center console is also out (I have that still as well) which was also going to be swapped to 4th gen styling, but since the dash was a no-go, I couldnt retain that.
I scraped off almost all the badging for this, just needs to be hit with a rubber eraser wheel to get the old adhesive off in spots.
White, Van Nuys paint with clear coat peeling, dent in driver side fender.
Motor blew up on me, so I replaced with a known running one, ends up it has some massive blow-by. I do have a near full gasket set for a SB350, another block that was pulled from a running (non smoking) 75 impala that will be given as well, to replace it.
The list of goodies that can be taken withthe car, and the things that come on the car already:
a set of 16" single line IROC wheels
4th gen door panels,
1.75 sets of 91-92 ground effects
a black 91 front bumper w/ ground effects piece attached, and light bar.
grid tail lights
LS1 brake calipers, the adapter brackets, and hubs w/ studs installed(bought from Chris at CECoatings on TGO)
91 Camaro steering column (steering wheel still attached but the airbag is blown)
Cloyes double roller timing chain, brand new in box
Corvette Servo kit (already installed)
36mm and 24mm swaybars (from WS6 car... the 36mm one is already installed)
WS6 springs (cut already, they're already on the car)
SLP 1 5/8" headers, SLP y-pipe, SLP y-pipe to catalyst adapter, catco direct fit 3" high flow cat, 3" hooker catback
rebuilt Q-jet, I have a few sets of rods and hangers too.
ZZ4 intake manifold
new MSD 8.5mm spiralcore wires w/ heat shielding and "race boots"
open element air cleaner
I also have a set of almost finished Port and Polished 416 casting heads that you can have if you'd like, if it's a selling point to you then I will finish porting them for you.
Poly trans mount, new (installed and driven less than a tank of gas ago) inner and outer tie rods and sleeves (a set, they are MOOG). Needs center link and idler arm, idler arm more-so currently though, pops on right turns at slow speeds sometimes.
Has new Oregon License Plates, and tags are good for until July '06
I'll add more things as I think of what's laying on the garage floor lol. I bought the car for 1200, and have put atleast 2000 into it (at LEAST... the cat-back was like 210, the cat was 120, the headers and y-pipe and catalyst adapter were 300, the door panels were 300, dash was 350, center console was 160, rims were 300, first motor w/ blowby was 400, good motor was 300, then all the odds and ends I've boughten), I'm just trying to get a little money back so I can buy up a good looking 91 V6 Camaro from a guy.
This car still drives, I wouldnt trust it in stop and go traffic since it overheats otherwise, and like stated earlier, if you attach the ground to the steering column the blinkers dont work, if you have it disconnected it constantly has one of the buzzers (like the one for when your door is open) go off constantly, very annoying.
I'm not willing to part out this stuff, since it's the only selling point to the car basically. If the car ends up being sold and the buyer doesnt want something I'll try to remember who wanted what though.
I can deliver the vehicle, and the rest of the stuff, but it would have to be two trips for me to deliver the car, and then go back and get my truck and load it up, so I'll deliver within a reasonable distance
PM me, or call me on my cell phone ( 503 290-4388 ), I work tuesday through friday 10-7, and on saturdays from 8-5, call me any time between then for inquiries.

how bad was the blow-by after the dyno? You make it home ok?
If any of those blocks was a 4 bolt, I might be intrested in it. _________________

He'll get another one... it's in his blood now. (somewhat akin to lead poisoning methinks)

I'll have to pull the oil pan on the motor I have set aside to replace the current (it's just a shortblock). But I do have a 4 bolt bare block that you could swap internals on if it's not that you could have as well. Quasi, this could be a very good car for you as a donor car for your 6er to convert over to V8.
The blowby was the same before as after, I dont know if it gets much worse though hahah. It got me home just fine, it still drives fine (probably needs an alignment though)
Tony, I just need to start with a better base, the money from this one will go towards a 3rd gen in better shape to start with... 91-92 Camaro (or possibly a bird if it's in as good a condition as yours' is!). It may be a few months until I can buy another one though, moving out puts a strain on your budget n stuff lol.
Schultzy, Thirdgens are more-so akin to the clap for me at the moment than lead poisoning actually |

| gah.. i have not even started on that yet. school work a little heavy right now. and there are two car projects ahead of it. the power mirror switch is first, and the ... well ok, then its putting the rest of the console together. so i guess it's #2 on the list. i am gonna see if the 3rd gen grip and button will go on the 4th gen handle. might do that tomorow actualy. |
