What year is the trans?

early to mid 90's i think. same length as the 700R4 and has the same spines on both ends.

I'm specifically looking for a 97. I would like to have a backup for my van since it's making noise, and don't want to run into compatibility probs by having the wrong year trans.

It came out of a chevy van. I can look up the numbers.

these numbers are stamped on the drivers side back reading sideways down. 21 2222 1494 . I beleive thats the correct stamp. their is another set of numbers CPB 105276
