so one night last week my lights and dash suddenly dimmed a bit and stayed dimmed. then the next morning i get airbag light on the way to work and then lose power bigtime. during lunch i have the same lack of power and airbag light but then my cd player isnt getting power. when i try to start back up after lunch the car is dead, after that i have to jump it every time. its in the shop now getting a new alternator. bleh. a bit over 100 + labor _________________ 1990 Camaro RS, Black w/ Red Int, V6 3.1L, Auto, T-Tops. |

Should've posted on here for some help. I'm sure one of us could've given you a step-by-step on how to change it. It couldn't take more than 20-30 mins from start to finish.
Sucks that it took a dump tho. Is it warrantied? _________________

Youch! Agreed. Easy easy fix. New lifetime alternator $80 + your time. |

Yikes, I think at Schmucks it's 39.99 + $25 core for an autolite lifetime. |

Weird. Schucks was over $100 when I went last.
Do you have the old style 2 wire alternator or the new style like 4 wire? The new one I have was as priced. Napa/autozone/schucks all wanted like95+ |
