Sorry they are gray. Keeping the interior for the time being. Going to try and find another bird to put it in to.

Well, I have a cable that runs from the Transmission to the box on the firewall that's involved with the cruise control. The cable goes into a gear on my 700R4; the casing melted causing the cable to seize (it melted in my fire) the cable broke at the gear and my speedo does not work.

WHATEVER that thing is that LOOKS like a cable that plugs into a gear in the trans is what I need.

TecherB (Bart) knows what I'm talking about... he showed it to me when he was working on my beast.

Kage, that is the speedo cable you are describing. the 86+ birds, and 90+ camaro's, switched to an electronic system, instead of the cable.

Kage, I'll have mine out of the car here pretty soon.

There are two parts to the cable.... One part goes from the trans up to the brake booster area where it screws into the secondary cable that goes to the speedo.

Do you need both?

Mine must have slipped thru the cracks. Bart will confirm that mine's an 87... and it had a cable.
