Anymore all my stuff is of the two wheeled variety.

Really I have some stuff in the works for the Camaro, I just don't know when I'll get to it and start on that project.

Been meaning to ask what was up with the cars John. We need a good old fashioned work party some weekend!

My 87's pretty much had Christmas all year this year. Heads/cam/intake and complete front and rear brake upgrade. Still need to install a new security system and probably have to take the heater apart and do some varmint removal. Sad

Jeeps getting a new set of chrome moly front shafts in preparation for the Rubicon next August. I know i've got one ear stretching on one of the original shafts. Ujoint cap is spinning in the ear. Allready have bent and upgraded the rear shafts last year.

The two wheeled variety is great too. I keep looking at a set of altered state designs controls for my v-rod and drooling.

There is a very real plan and a crap ton of parts in my garage. It will happen, I just have to stop planning crazy motorcycle trips.... but at the same time, I am planning crazy motorcycle trips!

Ane, what I have going on is a little more than a weekend project.

I've been pretty hush hush about it, but I have north of 370ci sitting in my garage.....

I went full on old man, and bought a BMW this year. Shocked

And, I leave in Feb to go ride Morocco for 3 weeks, so the 2 wheel sickness is pretty intense with me.

I do on occasion. Not big on social media so I don't know how to work it well lol

I will look for you on there. Sometime we should plan a ride around the coast here so I can tag along! Very Happy

For sure, I actually rode through there a couple years ago. I am up for a 2-3 day trip around the Olympics anytime, the hardest part around there is finding a time when the weather is really nice.

What do you ride?!

Secrets are fun if there are plenty of other builds going on. If it's us and the tumbleweeds then it's not exactly a secret is it? Laughing

370ci tells me he's probably got a 6.2. That's the type of build HotRod magazine would do, not something befitting a nerd of Crew caliber, so unless he wants us to flip him a lot of shizzle about taking the easy way out he should post his build already.

re: Christmas projects: I planned a big build for the Toyota in what would theoretically have been my offseason, so I went out and bought a pile of R motor parts, a Celica-Supra W58 transmission, a bunch of interior goodies and exterior chrome... and then proceeded to get swamped with more work than I can keep up with by our housing market so I haven't done jack shizzle.

Then I bought this stupid thing, which didn't help matters any:

and most of my free time is spent like this anyway:

I'm understanding the off season part. Now should be a slow time for myself and yet I have a ton of things going still lol

Keeps the lights on though.

I bought the inner subframe connectors, strut brace, and Speedhut gauges. Still looking at roll cages and possibly changing to an 18x10 wheel & tire setup. Hesitating on the wheels though because I'll go back to spinning all the time without the ET Streets. And if I'm going to have drag radials then I'll just stay with the way cheaper 275/40-17 tires.

A couple more times to the track and the hook will be set. You'll be on slicks soon enough lol

Nah... track is 110 miles away. Drag racing is like a once a year novelty to me and won't ever be a hobby. I'll choose having fun in the daily drive every time, mainly because it is fun every day.

The 18" wheels are me thinking about setting up the car for autocross. It appeals because I can drive a couple miles from the house, have fun, and then limp home even if something breaks. Problem is the local autocross scene is pretty dead and only 2 events happen locally, while most events are 85 miles away. That is getting too far away from home to feel secure without a trailer. And any hobby that causes me to use the trailer on a regular basis doesn't sound like much fun.

Most the guys I know at work go road racing. Again, long trips around 200 miles and you'll spend on average $1000 a weekend. That is waaaaay too much money for a single experience!

Now I know why the seedy underground of street racing becomes appealing.

What tire are you running on a 18x10 that blows off undrivably with 430 ft. lbs. of torque? I suspect that this is a tire problem and not a wheel dimension or drag radial issue.

*Edit: You shouldn't buy new wheels though. Keep it Oldschool.
