Apparently I have been nominated for COTM at thirdgen.org

Now, I have never paid much attention to that stuff but I do know a few things,

1. You need votes to win
2. Base model cars don't win
3. I *might* have already nominated a Hawks shop car just to piss people off Laughing

I'll post the link when the voting thread opens up. This is a "free for all" month so historically speaking I have no chance of winning. All I ask is that you help keep me out of the lower ranks. It would be a nightmare to lose to a stock car. LOL!

I would very much prefer being nominated in a month when the category is "base models" so I can compete against my own kind.

From a picking up votes on picture standpoint, I would think the blown big block photo's would go further than LSx photos....

You suggesting I show the evolution when I do the advertisement in the voting thread?

Trolling yourself is the ultimate troll. I like it. Cool

Counterpoint: the Silver Streak is ruined by the poor wheel choice.

Oh ya, the wheels are ugly. It is the general hate people have for Hawks that made it the right choice though.

Oh, I guess I jumped the gun. Nominations aren't official until somebody seconds the nomination.

Okay, I'm just somebody being talked about for nomination then. Laughing

They're already having a slapfight over it. Quality work.

You also got your second. Must have been some longtime asshole member.

Ya, I looked at his post history and noticed he came out of retirement just to post for me. Laughing

Alright, I need to go find another badass car to nominate next month that is owned by an unlikable person. The other option is find somebody that is a really really sore loser and keep nominating them all year.

Got any ideas?

Everyone on TGO is an unlikable person so I don't think that will help you.

Edit for LMFAO and also to prove my point:

I'll work up pictures over here.

Straight or tilted? I think tilted.

There was just some jerk over in the History/Originality subforum (pretty much the only one I ever read) bellyaching about how 99% of thirdgen owners are poor and can't afford nice cars so if they want more COTM participation, they need to nominate the average Joe's primer'd up rust bucket. Drama ensues.

I vote for tilted picture and engine progression as well, you'll nail some extra votes both ways. Laughing

I'll bet it was a guy named Cosmick. He is a poor guy with junk and an insatiable appetite for praise and recognition. A text book example how both rich guys, and poor guys, have the same ability to get a chip on their shoulder about money and annoy the hell out of everybody else. Yup yup

Should have left her in for the votes. I thought you Republicans were into that sort of thing anyway.

I voted Puma because he was the only one who knew how to work a camera out of the four of you. Laughing

That's okay, I'm waiting for somebody to realize the maroon Camaro doesn't even look like that today. The car is in pieces and those wheels and hood are gone.

Sounds like a solid improvement. Those wheels and hood look like crap.

Sweet. Now the mindless masses that want to vote for a winner will vote for me just because I'm ahead.
