I replaced those rusty Subaru rotors I linked a picture to with Centric. Running them on the Toyota as well, and have used them on a few other vehicles. Dirt cheap and no complaints.

Back to the original post. I recently read that Innovate does not recommend using the narrow band output from their unit as a replacement for the original narrow band signal. (not sure why else you'd have it though) Their reasoning was that there was too much of a delay. Thinking about my lean drop between shifts, last night I went and put a narrow band back in the bank 2 sensor 1 position where I had the Innovate. Wired it all in to my enhancer. Then since there's nearly nowhere to put the wideband I welded a bung just past the Y, but this is after the pre-cats. From research I did earlier it should read about 1 point lean. Not quite. Where before the AFR would read 14.7 at idle or cruise, it now reads 19-20. Looks like I need to order another bung and then drop the whole Ypipe/precat assembly to weld it in. There's only a 3" space between the header collector and the precat. So there's definitely not much room.

As for using the narrowband again, it definitely runs better. Idle smoothed out. Before after a cold start motor would rev up then die down and get rough for a minute before smoothing out. This doesn't happen anymore. The lean bog between shifts may be better.. but might be placebo effect there.

What this also brings up. If you have cat's and have been looking at your tailpipe AFR readings from a dyno. Those may not even be close.

Definitely running a whole lot better. Put 80-100 miles on it and it runs much smoother then before.

Awesome! Yeah, I've never seen the narrowband output work well at all. It just doesn't respond in the same pattern as a real narrowband. If you hook up Logworks, you can change the voltage output curves and might be able to tweak it so that it works a little better, but a real narrowband just works right off the bat.

More to do with tuning. Hard to work on lean spots if you aren't sure that your fuel pump is working correctly. So I've added a MaxTow electronic fuel pressure gauge. It has both a sweep dial and a digital readout. So far it looks like my pump is working correctly Smile Also all 3 gauges are 2 1/8".. Just a trick of perspective.
