Haha yea I don't know if I would like sleeping a week in kirky pro drag seats since thats where I would be lol

I did look up there time slips and I had et's good enough for the top 3 for n/a small block in the class I thought about. And looks like it could run well in the power adder class which is what it was intended for anyways. The room and board and fuel costs would prob kill it for me though.

How close are you to the event?

It is 2089 mi one way from me to the first meetup lol

Got one 3 way drag shock mounted and installed with brackets from Midwest chassis to turn the shock to keep it from binding. Had to enlarge the mount, make a sleeve for the shock, what a pain.

Will post pics once it is done. Been looking really hard at the trz antiroll setup it looks like a pretty stout piece for drag. A lot of really fast cars have it on their third gen. Spendy though.

Shocks are on but I have to change out the lower hardware for some longer bolts.
Been a part of the car since 1998 Shocked

Defiantly time for these to go lol

Not the best but they were gotten for a discounted price and plenty of fast guys are running them. I will see how they work.

Haha they're actually from late 13 according to the dot stamp. Haha I'll be all in mounted and balanced for 400 bucks so I couldn't turn that down. They feel nice and pliable the guy said they were in a nice storage area away from sunlight and temperatures.

Well I haven't updated this in a while. I still have to update some of the mounting hardware on the bottoms of the rear shocks but I have the bolts laying on the bench I just have to get them installed. Also I got the purge line bent up and ready to put in. I decided I am going to put the car together and run it in the next coming track days and then readdress the parachute in a few months. I still need to get enough change to cough up a new pair of slicks......

Either way it should make for an interesting start of the season. I am planning on scaling the car out on our new scale setup also. This Should give me a good baseline.[/i]

So been a while since updating this thread. The car got new shoes today. I took off the 28x11.50's and instead went to a 28x10.50 stiff wall slick. This should do two things for me. First it should help with reaction for the chassis second and an added bonus is I lose two pounds of weight per tire. This is awesome since it is rotational weight. Next I scaled the car and it would seem that my weight savings program has paid off.

How the car sits now. Got a nice low stance.

Weight setup without me in the car

Under 3k pounds and I still have the factory glass all around, power windows, glass t-tops, and a rear view mirror lol

I think there is a lot of weight still to come out of the car with some phone calls to optic armor. Maybe this winter.

Also got the fuel side to the nitrous flowed out. Trans filled, pinion angle set, and new cap, rotor, and plugs. Got her fired up and checked for any leaks (none) yay. Also pulled the headers and painted them with some nice ceramic paint. They turned out ok. Good enough for this war horse.

I'm hoping to get some good data this next outing so that I can start getting some licensing passes so I can renew my comp license again!

The early cars are lighter. My full interior, full power accessories, sound deadening, chassis reinforced 84 Z28 is a hair under 3200.

Under 3k is still impressive with all the weight you have added back on cage, rearend, etc.

Interesting to see the right hand weights compared to left. Is there anything on the front right that is causing that side to be so much heavier? I would think since the car wants to compress the RR spring under launch, getting weight to the LR instead of the RR would be beneficial in getting it launched.

With him in the car I'm guessing it will come out about dead nuts even, maybe even a tiny bit L heavy.

FR is only 50 lbs over and that side has the starter, alternator, fuel system, catch can, trans cooler, ect.

Front right has the oil accumulator setup also. I was surprised to see it heavier since the front left has the nitrous enrichment cell and fuel pump.

With me in the car it is almost even.

The car with me in it and all gear ready to cross the stripe is 3210

It's pretty good when you consider full steel 10 point cage and nine inch moser with a strange "S" modular case.

Your are right with me in it it was surprisingly even. It should launch straight and true! Then again it always has been very stable on the launch.
