yea 1.53 is pretty soft. I know why though so it will come around! Felt like being shot out of a cannon at the top end though it was great.

This was on a 100 shot and I didn't get the bottle pressure up near high enough it was only 750psi when I need 950 for the tune up to be correct. It was really fat and was probably more of like a 60-70 hit instead of what it should be. Also couldn't get a run at the converter like I needed to because I didn't have the right chip for the two step.

I have and msd grid on the way to go in the car so we will be eliminating those problems once and for all.

All in all I am happy since I barely leaned on it to get there. We have appt more to go!

Thanks Dewey for the change it is a good feeling to see that there, it has been along time coming!

Thanks guys!

looks like I also need to rig up some sort of a hose from the transmission breather and route it to a catch can of some sort since it is getting some puking from the vent during a pass also.

Also had another problem with the belt and after doing some research it is calling for a 36 degree 17/32" belt I only had a 3/8's belt on it.

Gotta figure something out so I am not confined to a generator at the trailer lol

well I kept wondering why my bottle pressure would not come up and apparently my heater only will go to about 90 degrees and then switch off to maintain pressure. I need something to heat up higher and stay hot to actually build some pressure not just maintain what is in there.

Also found some nice bent starter bolts. It kicked back on me in the staging lanes at run 4 and I was nursing it to get it by. Glad it was over since it was starting to damage the teeth a little bit. No missing teeth but a couple have some chewed marks on them a tough. I will file them smooth. If it is going to be a problem though then I will be replacing it again Evil or Very Mad

So it has been a while since an update.

Went to forks 1/8th mile and ran the cash bash, had a great time. First run it though the car spits the drive belt so I am on the charger for the rest of the after noon.

Made it to the final four cars left and they decide to hot lap us and I cannot do it. Car is farting and popping in the burnout box because of loss of voltage. Ended up giving it away in the semi finals.

Fast forward to today,
Got the pulley reshimmed and belt alignment perfect, lasted one run. Lol

Back to the charger. Made it two rounds before handing the win over because I fell asleep at the tree lol

Car has a new best though. 9.82 @ 138.xx same small jet of nitrous.

Got the 60 down the 1.50

I have some footage I will try to post it up.

I'm at he limits of the 110 fuel and am now switching to 118 octane turbo blue. That way I can start to jet up the nitrous kit.

So last Sunday I was back to the 1/8th mile and came home with a couple new bests. But also some problems.

Back into the 1.4 60 foots again with a 1.48 and a 1.47. Along with running back to back 6.218 and 6.214 @ 113 mph. It is starting to get it done!

Third pass though I staged and let go of the button and bam nothing, no nitrous activation. Came back to the pits and tested the system and it worked fine. I wasnt going to take any chances though so I am rebuilding the n2o solenoid with a new coil and plunger assy. Also I am removing the low pressure cut off from the system since the guys over at induction solutions thought this could also be a big contributor to my problems.

Also found the fuel pressure regulator going to the carb would not go over 4 psi. Another regulator and we are back in business with 7.5 again.

On another note I finally go at the fuel situation taken care of and now have Sunoco "max nos" fuel so now fuel will no longer be an issue and I can turn the car up some.

I haven't had time yet but I have a full msd grid setup waiting to go into the car but it may turn into a winter project since I have been so busy at work and honestly just maintenance on the car has kept me busy along with fixing little odds and ends.

I've got a co-worker from China that is visiting and I am going to take him for a drive some time in the next few days. Our higher speed limits make those guys nervous so you can guess how this is going to go.

You know, those guys didn't grow up with cars so they don't have the normal ground rules imprinted on their brain, like don't touch or interfere with the driver, and don't punch interior panels to see how sturdy it is (that actually happened with my truck). I'll have to feel him out a bit and see if he panics before stabbing the throttle for real. Being a passenger is kind of nerve racking anyway just due to trust issues.

What noids are you running? At your level you have to be running some kind of nitrous controler, I would def spend the money to get some of the Wizard of Nitrous noids. It should hold out a lot better than a standard noid with the controller pulsing them. Pretty sure these are what Shultzy runs.

I run a nos pro shot noide with a modified .120 orifice. It was blueprinted by induction solutions and flows enough pph for 400 hp or so. I don't mind rebuilding them.

It does have an old archaic NOS brand progressive, It has the old rotary dials. Tried and true I guess.

As long as it hauls the mail then people cant see the inside from the rear of it lol

Got rained out this last Sunday so no runs, hoping to enter some larger races over in Bremerton and go rounds this next couple weeks.

I really want to turn the car up some and try to go for that slip I really want lol

Already making my winter list of changes, add ons.

Got me a new bad @ss helmet hook in the car now lol

Also got a new tool to work on the car in the pits. I will post a pic tomorrow.

Keeping this thread updated,

Ran in Bremerton yesterday. The car ran a new best 9.57 @ 142.97mph. 1.45 60'
.063 jet (roughly 150hp worth of nitrous)

Ran 4 passes
9.57 @ 142.97
.024 r/t 9.60 @ 142
.010 r/t 9.78 @ 140.8 ( bottle low and needed to be changed.)
-.054 r/t 9.59 @ 142 ( fresh bottle) redlight

It went two rounds but got bumped in the second round due to me redlighting.

It was an awesome weekend. Running the new grid was awesome!

Although when I pulled the data I saw a 2nd to 3rd shift touched 7960 rpms Shocked

With the cam and shaft rockers and really good valvetrain it just likes to rev lol I have to get quicker on the shift!

Wow. That is fast man. Do you already have a chute? at 142, if you bump the juice up anymore, you are going to be at that magic 150 number.

I have a mount picked out and planned on going with a stroud chute this winter.
I didn't want to be the guy that had one that couldn't back up that look lol now I'm thinking it will need it just to be legal haha.

My end goal with the motor setup was 8.9x at 150+ and I think I will make it there as I chip away at it and turn it up in small increments. I have a few more tricks for this winter that should help. Im thinking a larger set of headers, larger carb and possibly further port work on the heads. But honestly I think just the headers and carb will help.
