Anybody interested in going to the Rod Run weekend of sep 12? Thinking we can meet here Saturday morning and go to the run. Then come back here in the evening and bbq some salmon. Staying over here friday or saturday night is possible if you'd like. |

Good show, good pizza and beer at Ft George in Astoria. Fish was meh.. Oh well.
The 2 cars I thought were killer at the show were a 62 nova, and an elcamino dubbed El Rageous. Both awesome cars.
Aaron and Gabe fell for a corvair with a mid engine h6 subaru conversion. We weren't sure which transaxle was being used, but I've found out now that it was a renault UN1. Even found the owners facebook page. Says it runs on a megasquirt and puts down 245rwhp.
One of my favorite things was an old pontiac bonneville. I noticed the tripower setup and wandered over for a look.. then did a double take. It was a stock tripower intake with all 3 carbs, but the manifold had bungs welded in and was full on port fuel injection. Talked to the owner for a little bit and he'd used the carbs for throttle bodies, set up a tps, and even modified the manifold for an IAC where the choke heater used to sit. Neat conversion. |
