I'm looking at replacing my throttle body on my TPI due to a few minor issues. If I remember right, most people are saying that the larger bore ones are not really needed unless your a quite a high hp number or rev the piss out your engine, which most tpi's wont do. Am I correct?

I see there is a 85-88 style which uses the inline style TPS
89-92 which uses what I call the round TPS.
93-97? LT1's. Am I correct that the lt1 has a different style throttle cable which I would have to replace if I went to it? ('m manual so trans cable is not an issue)

89 used the ball end style cable too like the lt1.

If you pull a vacuum at WOT and you have no filter restriction, that's when you need a bigger TB.

The Holley unit I couldn't have been happier with.

Why are you replacing it? It's not a wear item. If it has slop it can be rebushed.
