As you know everything flows downhill. Usually the back cylinders flood out because the motor is tipped towards the back and all the excess fuel just runs into them. Depending on manifold design some runners being lower then others can also have the same effect.

well, the oil was definately filled with gas, checked spark on all of the dead cylinders and the spark is quite strong, I pulled off the carb and opened it up and didn't find any dirt, but I blew it out with an air compressor anyway, so now I just need to find some rebuild specs for the carb to adjust the float properly and put it back together and cross my fingers and hope it works.

has anyone had their rear main seal leak when they first start an engine and then stop leaking after the motor has been run for awhile?

well, the trans am started up last night, on all cylinders and sounds evil, but that's probably mostly because it's running open headers, time for some exhaust.

Thanks Everyone!

i didn't rebuild it, just took it apart and made sure everything was adjusted properly, then re adjusted the valves again, and set timing, adjusted the idle and aired out the wet cylinders.
